Disney World, here we come!
So it was another good weekend that included Relay for Life festivities, a wedding, a wedding shower and house plans! We got to see the rough set and they look pretty good. More details to come...
We're gearing up this week to head to Florida and Disney World next week! Oh yeah- 5 of us in the minivan to Mickey's house! We're hitting Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom. I've been to both in the past 5 years, but not with a toddler. If anyone out there has and has any words of wisdom to share, let me know!

What the...?
Oh my. I couldn't resist this one, so I had to have "WTF?!" THURSDAY!
One word: Fantasia
Did you see American Idol last night? If not, you must watch"Bore Me" on You Tube here.
That was the scariest, weirdest, most haneous thing I have seen on TV in a while. Apparently Simon agreed by the look on his face (2:57 into the You Tube video). wow...

Set Your TiVo!
Just in case you forgot...New Kids on the Block are on the Today show this Friday (5/16).

* UPDATE*
I watched the appearance Friday and they guys looked and sounded pretty good. Apparently, massive amouts of people came out- some even camping out overnight to get a good spot. I doubt, however, I will be attending a show, but it's fun to remember back...

"What the...?"
See the boy in the picture, wearing the white hat? He'll be 2 soon his mom said. She might want to get him a bike like we had at the park yesterday. How nice. Do I know this boy? No. But his name is probably Rich because that's what he'll need to be in order to afford all the therapy he'll need later in life because his mother is STILL BREASTFEEDING HIM! OMG! I've heard that people breastfeed up to 2 years old, but I didn't think anyone besides mothers in 3rd world countries and religious cults actually did it! This woman sat on a park bench, lifted her shirt and BANG! brestfed him right there! I'm not knocking breasfeeding altogether. I did it for 6 months myself although I don't really know how. It was such a magical day to know my boobs belonged to me again and could be confined in a normal bra without flaps, pads and extra hooks. I just couldn't imagine...
Anyway...we had a nice time at the park. We had a pic-nic and the girls played and played. BFF!

Absence makes...
...things more pleasant at my house. Steve is traveling again this week. He's actually been home for a good stretch and now for May and June he will be gone a good bit, which, for the most part, is fine with me.
Mega, ultra Daddy's girl has been pretty good and quite sweet to me. She gets into bed with me in the morning and puts her little face next to mine and smiles. Sitting around, she has crawled up and snuggled with me on more than one occasion and even put my arm around her this morning in bed.
I also don't have to constantly pick up after Steve. I am by no means a neat freak, but he leaves his stuff out everywhere: Shoes- right in front of the back door which is also right in front of our kitchen counter; glasses, contacts, deodorent, etc- on the bathroom counter; mail, keys, etc.- all over the kitchen counter; clothes- spread between the floor and the bathroom.
At night, I can watch whatever I want on TV without interruptions or groans. I actually watched ALL of American Idol on Tuesday!
Sure, yeah, by the end of the week I'll miss him and be glad he's home. (Absence makes the heart grow fonder) Until then, I'm enjoying some space!

Weekend Update
So it was a good weekend.
Thursday was my last day at work with kids. The staff and I got together that evening to celebrate the year (and the fact that some students will NOT be returning next year). I'm still working most of May to compile reports for the State Department.
Friday Savannah and I picked strawberries and went to the gym. That evening I went out to eat with some of the girls for dinner. Meanwhile, Steve and Savannah went tailgating and to the baseball game.
Saturday I worked in the yard (finally!) and picked up around the house. That night me, Steve and Jenn went to the Crawfish Festival to see Cowboy Mouth (see previous post). Fun, fun, fun! Sunday afternoon we had a family reunion pic-nic and the weather was beautiful! We finished off the weekend with some burgers at my parents house last night. Ahhh! Feels like summer!
*Update on the house deal- even though nothing has changed with Steve's job situation, we figure we can go ahead and clear the land and get everything ready to build. We still may wait a while to actually start construction, but not as late as he first thought. So...we'll see...

Cowboy Moooth!

Oh, in the title I wrote "Cowboy Moooth." Why? At several points during the show they shout, "the name of the band is-" and everyone shouts back, "Cowboy Mouth!" except with Steve's damn accent it came out "Cowboy Moooth," like he's Canadian or something!
